Mindful Morning Overview
The Mindful Morning Program offers a positive, structured start to each day, featuring a weekly Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) lesson that nurtures character, mindfulness, and self-regulation. SEL focuses on helping students understand and manage their emotions, set and achieve positive goals, show empathy for others, build healthy relationships, and make responsible decisions. By developing these skills in a supportive and intentional environment, students gain the confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence needed to succeed both academically and in life.
Through explicit instruction and guided practice, students learn how to recognize and express their feelings appropriately, navigate social situations with confidence, and persevere through challenges.
At Sunshine Virtual Academy, SEL is woven into daily routines to help foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive emotionally and academically.
